Happy 15th birthday WWW!

15 years ago today (April 30) the World Wide Web was released to the world. Can you believe it's only been such a short time? Just consider how great a part of our daily lives the web has become.
Where were you 15 years ago today?

Here is a 5 year old site with a scan of the original launch document.

Mumstown Drogheda Launch

The new Mumstown website has recently launched!

Mumstown is a place where mums and local community members are able to chat, comment and interact, find great ideas, recipes and deals.

Kelly and her team came to us looking for a redesign of the site and some upgrades to the functionality and we're pretty happy with the way it turned out.

So far feedback has been quite constructive but positive. For example scole1 made the comment "wow just logged on looks fab ohhhhh fancy.......".

The address for the website is: www.Mumstown.ie
Take a look and leave a comment.

The Cool Hunter

High school, as far as I remember it, was just one big competition to see who was the coolest of cool and who stood in the corner eating corned beef sandwiches. I ate lots of sandwiches.

Now that you've graduated you realise you too can be down with the cool kids! All you have to do is surf over to theCoolHunter.net and some kind hearted cool kids have found all sorts of stuff from around the world that will let you too be part of that of so desirable elite group.

On the site you'll find all sorts of things like travel destinations, shoes, gadgets, music, etc, etc, etc. Seriously, you'll be totally lost in this one for a long time, so grab some sandwiches and get clicking.

A good article on website design...

Thanks to Cormac for passing this on.

This is a good discussion on text size, scrolling and layout in website design.
