The ITLG Innovation Summit was a two day gathering of top executives, entrepreneurs, and venture capital investors operating in Ireland and Silicon Valley.
Established in October 2007, the ITLG is an independent organization comprised of a number of high-level technology leaders in Silicon Valley who are Irish or Irish-American. The Group includes senior executives from some of the Valley's leading corporations, each of whom are committed to promoting the technology connection between Ireland and Silicon Valley, and helping Ireland address the challenges of embracing new technology opportunities.
Among the speakers and panelists appearing at this years event were: Dr Craig Barrett, the former chairman and chief executive of Intel and current chairman of the ITLG; Roger McNamee, founder of Elevation Partners and John O'Farrell, partner in Andreessen Horowitz, the venture capital firm founded by Netscape web browser pioneer Marc Andreessen, which is one of the most active funds in the Valley.
MOR Solutions involvement in the summit developed out of the Local Heroes initiative and during the summit Drogheda was promoted as a superb location for inward investment and as a candidate for future development of Datacentre parks, ticking all of the boxes from a fibre connectivity and power standpoint. The ITLG Innovation Summit was very successful for everyone involved with future cooperation between Silicon Valley and Drogheda in the works.
