Established in 1995, Retail Excellence Ireland (REI) is the largest retail industry trade body in Ireland owned by the members, for the members. REI is a not for profits organisation which invests in innovative and exciting learning, market intelligence, commercial services, Government representation and member networking initiatives.
Retail Excellence Ireland involves over 660 leading retail companies who operate over 8,500 stores in the Irish market. REI members are the most progressive and innovative retail operators in the marketplace.
The 2011 Awards will be presented to retail stores, companies, websites and individuals who best demonstrate evidence of outstanding practice in retail and which makes a positive difference to the retail experience being delivered to the Irish consumer. Following a rigorous selection process the finalists and ultimate winners will enjoy deserved recognition amongst industry operators, suppliers and our nation of consumers.
The winner of the main award, eCommerce Website of the Year, will receive a digital marketing campaign to the value of €20,000 plus help from the eCommerce award sponsor, Google, with digital strategy and marketing. The new eCommerce category will provide a benchmark by which leading Irish eCommerce sites are judged.
REI has partnered with the Sunday Independent for the awards. All category finalists will be profiled in a special “Retail Excellence” supplement published on Sunday 6 November and will benefit from an integrated awards advertising and PR campaign.
The awards are open to all retailers which have eCommerce operations and it is not necessary to be a member of Retail Excellence Ireland (REI) to enter the awards. The deadline for entries is Friday 27 May.
